What is humility

I use to be an atheist before I did meditation. The only time I believed in a higher power was when I was 13 and I attended bible classes for a year. This was just to get out of the house though. lol. Over the years I have been fortunate to learn from others and learn from life experience, the meaning of humility.

Humility is reverence for God. It is knowing everything we are, is because of Source. Everything we have, everything we 'own' all our talents gifts, are because of Him/Her/It. The fact I can wake up breathe, is because of Him. (pardon the gendered terms). So when we allow ourselves to shine we are shining Source, not ourselves. Because all that is love goodness, those qualities is actually God. We are letting God shine and when we acknowledge this light as His, that is humility.
